A House of Dynamite
The Good: 90% of this movie is excellent. The conceit is that the movie starts with the people who have to deal with a rogue nuclear missile headed towards the US, and replaying the same 16 minutes going from missile response, to inner presidential circle, to the president. I think it’s a very interesting plot device and enjoyed seeing the entire stack of dealing with this problem.
THe Bad: I think there is very little bad in this movie, but where it falls it falls hard. First, the president bringing up what he heard in a `podcast` just zipped me right out. The president should be hearing these cool concepts in briefings! Just something else, bleh. The other issue I had with it that I generally gather is the concept for the movie is not showing what happened. Which, fine. I get you can do that, it’s just unsatisfying. Maybe give me both, Clue style?
