The Princess Bride

The Princess Bride

The Good: A classic fairy tale-esque movie that captures the true heart and spirit of the genre better than any other movie. It feels like the last one to make a real movie without CGI in that ephemeral style, and it works! The forest thieves village feels so real, as do the dungeons. Every part is acted perfectly and there is just enough comedy to balance it out. The framing device also brings so much warmth into the picture that it really sticks in your mind.

THe Bad: Very little! It swings wildly from tone to tone just the right amount and the story actually covers quite a little plot.
